Dear Admissions Committee,

   My name is Gabriella, and I am interested in studying Criminal Justice and Psychology at Cabrillo College. I am passionate about understanding our behaviors, the Justice system and how both intersect which helps us change our society for the better. Cabrillo's academic programs, supportive environment, and strong reputation in the community makes it the ideal place for my college journey.

   Throughout my High School Years at San Lorenzo Valley High, I have been deeply interested in how the mind works. In English class, we studied a lot about the Criminal Justice System, specifically with the youth. This further drove my interest in wanting to know more about peoples behaviors between one another. I believe studying Criminal Justice System and Psychology will give me the tools to explore many careers like law enforcement, forensic psychology, or social work. I am drawn to Cabrillo's interdisciplinary approach, and I believe that this will help me grow both intellectually and personally.

   I am a dedicated student with a strong work ethic. I am eager to challenge myself academically while also connecting with others on campus. I look forward to learning from experience faculty, and engaging in hands-on opportunities and creating relationships with my peers. My goal is to graduate with a strong foundation that prepares me to transfer to a four year university. Specifically, San Jose State and eventually build my way up to where I want to be.
